● Pyeonghwa Market

Pyeonghwa Market is famous for the Chicken Restaurant Alley.

Restaurants serving chicken gizzard dish with drinks have been popular in the market since the 1970s.

Visitors can taste various chicken dishes including fried chicken gizzards with a chewy texture and at reasonable prices.

● Dongseongno 

Dongseongno is the busiest street of the downtown Daegu. 

Lined up along the street are trend-leading shopping malls, department

stores, as well as various cultural spaces like movie theaters and performance halls. 

Famous alleys such as Yasi-golmok Alley,Rodeo Street and Cosmetics Street are also located. 

● Gyeongsang-gamyeong Park & Jongno  

The park area includes an over 400-year old site of Gyeongsang Provincial Governor's Office during the Joseon Dynasty. 

There still remain Seonhwadang hall, Jingcheonggak pavilion and Seonjeongbi monument. 

Nearby is Jongno Street, where traces of Korean modern history remain and the Yangnyeongsi Oriental Herb Medicine Market.

● Modern Culture Alley  

Cheongna Hill is a center for Daegu's Christianity, which had taken root, settled and grown in Daegu. 

The residence for the Christian missionary 100 years ago still stands. 

It was remodeled to serve as a museum of medical and missionary works.(The starting point of Alley Tour Course 2) 

● Seomun Market & Dalseong Park  

Seomun Market, one of the "big 3" markets of the Joseon Dynasty era, is huge to sell almost everything one could wish

to find, including fabrics, the main products in the market.

Dalseong Park is located inside the oldest earthen mound fortress in the Korean fortification history, dating from 261 A.D.  

● Bangogae Muchimhoe Alley   

The seasoned raw fish is one of the top 10 Daegu Delicacies, and once you taste the tangy hot, and sweet-and-sour flavor,you will never forget. 

The alley is located near Bangogae Station, Naedang-dong where about 10 restaurants are thriving.   

● E World -Duryu Park  

E World is a European style theme park encompassing the 202-meter-high 83 Tower and various rides and amusement facilities,

including a thrilling high Sky Jump. In Duryu Park, one can visit the Daegu Culture & Arts Center, Outdoor Music Hall, etc.    

● Anjirang Gopchang Alley    

The Alley is famous for the grilled seasoned pork intestine dishes which have attracted food lovers of the country. 

It has also been selected as one of the top 5 food-themed Streets of Korea. 

With its tasty seasoned pork intestine at reasonable prices, the Alley is always bustling with visitors.   

● Mt. Apsan Observatory    

After a ride on a cable car, you can enjoy views of downtown Daegu and Mt.Palgongsan at a glance from the observatory built on the top of Mt.Apsan. 

The night view of the city from the observatory is a great experience. Walking around Apsan Park is also recommended.    

● Suseongmot Lake   

Boasting its plenty volume of water throughout the year,

Suseongmot Lake area serves as a resort place where tourists

can enjoy music fountains, benches, trees, trails, and an amusement park. 

It is a good place for outings with a meal at the nearby Deurangil Food Town.   


● Daegu Children's Hall   

With a large lawn yard, a 3D theater, and a science and exploration hall,

Daegu Children's Hall is full of exciting things to see and enjoy. 

The Oriole Theater holds various culture and

art events, and other outdoor facilities provide opportunities

for visitors to enjoy hands-on experiences. 

It is truly a place for learning by experience in the midst of the city.  

● Kim Gwang -Seok Road 

It is a beautiful street of art and culture, which is filled with the

wall paintings and song lyrics of a singer, late Kim Gwang-seok.

Visitors can reminisce about old memories appreciating the

painted mural walls along the road, and also enjoy a variety of

cultural experience programs from the nearby handicrafts shops.   

● Gukchae-bosang Merorial Park   

Gukchae-bosang Memorial Park was built to commemorate

the Gukchaebosang National Debt Repayment Movement which

began in Daegu in 1907. The park has the Dalgubeol Grand Bell,

Gukchae-bosang Memorial Hall and a path with monuments

inscribed with famous quotes. Walking along the path of the giant

oak trees is also recommended.
