Hallim Park

Hallim Park is one of the most popular tourist spots on Jeju Island, located approximately 33 kilometers west of Jeju-si and Hallasan Mountain along the beach in Hallim-eup.

It faces the pleasant scenery of Biyangdo Island, Hyeopjae Beach and Geumneung Beach. The park was established in early 1971 on barren land with the importation of tons of earth and the planting of assorted subtropical plants.

O'sulloc Tea Museum

O'sulloc Tea Museum, located next to O'sulloc's Seogwang Tea Planation in Jeju, was opened by Amore Pacific in 2001 with the aim of introducing and spreading Korean teas and the traditional tea culture of Korea. The museum is a cultural space where the West and the East, and modernity and tradition coexist in harmony.

Sanbang Mountain Cruise

We could appreciate the blissful and picturesque ocean view of Sanbang Mountain, Brother Island, Hexagon Lave cliff of Mt.Songak and Dragon Coast, which have been designated as Global Geoparks, from the Sanbang Mountain Cruise(about 1hour).

Hyeopjae Beach

The white sandy beach mixed with crushed seashells, Biyangdo Island appearing to float on the cobalt seat, and the lush pine forest all combine to create an outstanding scene. The beach stretches roughly 200 meters and is 60 meters wide with a shallow depth of 1.2 meters, making the beach perfect for family visitors. The beach also has many amenities, including a campground in the pine forest, changing stalls, shower booths, restrooms, drinking fountains, and more. Restaurants offer delicious dishes using freshly caught seafood like jeonbok (abalone) and sora (horned turban). Nearby attractions include Hyeopjae Lava Tube within Hallim Park, Myeongwoldae Cliff, Hwangnyongsa Temple, and Yeonggaksa Temple.

Day 3

Breakfast

Horseback riding

Horses can be seen all around Jeju island. Horses were the most preferred gifts to be presented to the King from Jeju because the island was popularly called “the pasturage of horses”. Horse riding on a Jeju trip is something that should not be missed. The horses used for riding are known as Jejusanma and are of mixed breeds. Experiencing actual horse riding will make you feel closer to horses.

The Seongeup Folk Village

Located at the foot of Halla Mountain on Jeju Island, Seongeup Folk Village is a small town that holds a vast amount of culture over a wide period of time from 1410 to 1914.

The Seongeup Folk Village shows the unique culture of Jeju Island. The local tongsi (traditional Jeju restroom) are especially well-known characteristics of Jeju folk culture.

Jeju Haenyeo Museum

Haenyeo refers to female divers who dive into the ocean water to gather various shellfish, seaweed, etc, without using any underwater diving equipment. When diving underwater, a haenyeo carries only a pair of goggles, a round ball-like tube to keep her balance, and a basket to put her collections in. Such women involved in the fishing industry are known to be scattered all around Jeju-do, Korea, Japan, and Russia. Jeju-do has established the Jeju Haenyeo Museum to introduce to the world the unique activities and culture of Jejudo’s haenyeo female divers.

Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak

Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak rose from under the sea in a volcanic eruption over 100,000 years ago. Located on the eastern end of Jejudo Island, there is a huge crater at the top of Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak. The crater is about 600m in diameter and 90m high. With the 99 sharp rocks surrounding the crater, it looks like a gigantic crown. While the southeast and north sides are cliffs, the northwest side is a verdant grassy hill that is connected to the Seongsan Village. The ridge provides an ideal spot for walks and for horse riding as well. The sunrise from the crater is magnificent. Also the Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak surrounded by bright yellow colored canola flowers in the spring is truly a sight to behold.

Manjanggul

Manjanggul Cave is one of the finest lava tunnels in the world, and is a designated natural monument. A lava tunnel is formed when the lava that was deep in the ground spouts from the peak and flows to the surface. Manjanggul Cave has a variety of interesting structures inside including 70cm lava stalagmites and the lava tube tunnels.
