Seoul city Sightseeing

● Gyeongbokgung Palace(Deoksu Palace on Tue)
The palace was originally constructed in 1394. It was a symbol of majesty for the Korean people and the home of the royal family. Remarkably, the most representative edifices of the Joseon Dynasty, Gyeonghoeru Pavilion and Hyangwonjeong Pond have remained relatively intact.

● The Royal Guard Changing Ceremony
In ancient times, the royal guards of Joseon Dynasty performed the given task by guarding the Gwanghwamun Gate, the entrance of Gyeongbokgung Palace where the king ruled the country. Since 1469, the ceremony has taken place and its record has been consulted for the present reenactment ceremony.

● National Folk Museum
Located inside Gyeongbokgung Palace, the National Folk Museum of Korea presents historical artifacts that were used in the daily lives of Korean people in the past. Through the displays, visitors can learn about the domestic and agricultural lifestyles, as well as Korea’s cultural beliefs.

● Korean Ginseng Center
Known as the 'miraculous medicine,' Ginseng is Korea's representative medicinal crop. Ginseng is used as a way to recover health, strengthen the body, and calm the mind.

DMZ Tour

● Imjingak Park
Imjingak was built in 1972 with the hope that someday unification would be possible. Over 400 photos and documents showing the stark reality of North Korea are displayed in the North Korea Center of Unification Board. Outside Imjingak, there are 12 unique tanks and warcrafts on display that were used during the war.

● The 3rd infiltration tunnel(Dorasan Observatory)
The 3rd Tunnel was discovered in 1978 by South Korean forces. It spans over 1,635m in length, 2m in width, and 2m in height and is located 52km from Seoul. It is estimated that approximately 30,000 soldiers could move through the tunnel per hour. Only 44 kilometers or, less than an hours drive, from Seoul, the third tunnel was discovered in October 1978. Almost identical in structure to Tunnel Ⅱ, the 1.635 kilometer-long tunnel, 1.95 meters high and 2.1 meters wide, penetrates 435 meters south of the Military Demarcation Line at a point only 4 kilometers south of the Truce Village of Panmunjom. It runs through bedrock at a depth of about 73 meters below ground. Capable of moving a full division per hour, plus their weapons, it is evidently designed for a surprise attack on Seoul.

● Dora Observatory, Dorasan Station
52 years of anticipation, waiting for the day when the two countries will be united once again. Dorasan station, the northernmost station in South Korea, has planned to connect the Gyongueisun(Line) and it will be linked to the European continent via the Siberian Railway.

Hyeopjae Beach

The white sandy beach mixed with crushed seashells, Biyangdo Island appearing to float on the cobalt seat, and the lush pine forest all combine to create an outstanding scene. The beach stretches roughly 200 meters and is 60 meters wide with a shallow depth of 1.2 meters, making the beach perfect for family visitors. The beach also has many amenities, including a campground in the pine forest, changing stalls, shower booths, restrooms, drinking fountains, and more. Restaurants offer delicious dishes using freshly caught seafood like jeonbok (abalone) and sora (horned turban). Nearby attractions include Hyeopjae Lava Tube within Hallim Park, Myeongwoldae Cliff, Hwangnyongsa Temple, and Yeonggaksa Temple.

Hallim Park

Hallim Park is one of the most popular tourist spots on Jeju Island, located approximately 33 kilometers west of Jeju-si and Hallasan Mountain along the beach in Hallim-eup. It faces the pleasant scenery of Biyangdo Island, Hyeopjae Beach and Geumneung Beach. The park was established in early 1971 on barren land with the importation of tons of earth and the planting of assorted subtropical plants.

O'sulloc Tea Museum

O'sulloc Tea Museum, located next to O'sulloc's Seogwang Tea Planation in Jeju, was opened by Amore Pacific in 2001 with the aim of introducing and spreading Korean teas and the traditional tea culture of Korea. The museum is a cultural space where the West and the East, and modernity and tradition coexist in harmony.

Sanbang Mountain Cruise

We could appreciate the blissful and picturesque ocean view of Sanbang Mountain, Brother Island, Hexagon Lave cliff of Mt.Songak and Dragon Coast, which have been designated as Global Geoparks, from the Sanbang Mountain Cruise(about 1hour).

Cheonjeyeonpokpo Falls

Cheonjeyeonpokpo Falls, named "The Pond of God," consists of three sections. The first waterfall falls into a pond with a depth of 21 meters. From here, it falls two more times, creating the second and third waterfalls, which then flow into the sea. To the east of the first waterfall is a cave, where water falls from the ceiling. In the past, people believed this water had healing properties, with many people bathing in the waters. These days, swimming is strictly prohibited. In Cheonjeyeon Valley, visitors can see Seonimgyo Bridge (arch bridge with 7 nymphs carved on the side) and the octagonal Cheonjeru Pavilion. Seonimgyo Bridge is also called Chilseonyeogyo, meaning "seven nymphs bridge," and it connects Cheonjeyeon Falls with Jungmum Tourist Complex.

On the surface of Cheonjeru Pavilion, there is a painting that tells Cheonjeyeon’s legend of the seven nymphs and the mountain god.

Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak

Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak rose from under the sea in a volcanic eruption over 100,000 years ago. Located on the eastern end of Jejudo Island, there is a huge crater at the top of Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak. The crater is about 600m in diameter and 90m high. With the 99 sharp rocks surrounding the crater, it looks like a gigantic crown. While the southeast and north sides are cliffs, the northwest side is a verdant grassy hill that is connected to the Seongsan Village. The ridge provides an ideal spot for walks and for horse riding as well.

The sunrise from the crater is magnificent. Also the Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak surrounded by bright yellow colored canola flowers in the spring is truly a sight to behold.

Manjang Cave [UNESCO World Heritage]

The lava tube stretches roughly 7,400 meters, with a maximum height of 25 meters and width of 18 meters. These measurements make it one of the largest lava tubes in the world. Manjanggul holds great value for science and conservation studies, having well-maintained formations despite being formed over one hundred thousand years ago.

This superb attraction offers visitors the rare find of a temple along the shore line; most temples in Korea are located in the mountains. Haedong Yonggungsa Temple was first built in 1376 by the great Buddhist teacher known as Naong during the Goryeo dynasty. Haesu Gwaneum Daebul (Seawater Great Goddess Buddha), Daeungjeon Main Sanctuary, Yongwangdang Shrine, Gulbeop Buddhist Sanctum (enclosed in a cave), and a three-story pagoda with four lions can all be seen looking out over the ocean.

Jagalchi Market, located on the shoreside road in Busan's Jung-gu, is Korea'slargest seafood market, selling both live and dried fish.

BIFF Square

Busan’s modern movie district was originally little more than a pair of cinemas that were built following Korea’s liberation from Japanese colonial rule over half a century ago. However, major renovations took place ahead of the first Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), and the newly transformed district was named BIFF Square on August 14, 1996.

Having been remade into a cultural tourist attraction promoting the advancement of Korea’s film industry, BIFF Square has contributed to Busan’s newfound status as an international cultural tourist city.

Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond

Gyeongju Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond was a secondary palace used by the crown prince of the Silla Kingdom. It also served as a banquet site for important national events and important visitors. The pond was created in 674. The pond features three small islands, and a landscape of 12 small hills to the northeast. After the fall of Silla, the site was abandoned and forgotten. In the 1980s, a pottery fragment with the letters “Wolji” (a pond that reflects the moon) carved onto it was found, revealing the true name of the pond.  After the discovery, the site was renamed to the current Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond.
